Counselling That Meets You Where You Are

  • Stress, anxiety, low mood, burnout, or difficulty switching off.

  • Communication struggles, conflict, loneliness, or repeating patterns with others.

  • Life transitions, uncertainty, decision-making, or lack of direction.

  • Low self-esteem, overthinking, people-pleasing, or being overly self-critical

  • Procrastination, motivation, work–life balance, or feeling “stuck” in patterns.

  • Grief, breakups, or trying to process and understand how you feel.

“Anna-Lena's approach is a breath of fresh air. Starting from the thoroughly holistic (including lifestyle, dietary habits, etc.) intake questions to build a full picture and not just an isolated mind-only approach, to her always creative input and most importantly her no-nonsense drill down into the core of a problem. I can only highly recommend.

Online Counselling (International)

I provide dynamic and engaging online sessions for those who wish to seek support from the comfort of their own home. I often use materials, as simple as pen and paper to unlock deeper layers of the unconscious, make change approachable and bring the therapy room right to you.

Walk & Talk Therapy

This is literally what is said on the tin: We will walk and we will talk…

Walk and Talk sessions offer a gentle alternative to traditional therapy. Moving side by side in nature can feel less invasive than sitting face to face; creating space for thoughts to flow more freely, and conversations to unfold naturally.

Here is what you can expect

We will meet at our agreed location, these walks have been tested, tried and timed. I’ve chosen each location carefully, considering ability and confidentiality. We may walk along the beach, choose a session in the forest or meet in an open field. It doesn’t look too different from a session in a room, but we have exchanged chairs for walking shoes and an open path ahead. It may feel like talking to a friend, yet there is more intentionality in the questions and attention to detail. We may utilise our surroundings; whether it’s drawing in the sand, collecting stones or pausing beneath a tree to listen and breathe at one with nature.

The elements of movement, mindfulness and harnessing the power of the natural environment leave us often more grounded, more aware and more connected after a session.

What to expect

the therapeutic process

Your Story Comes First

Our first session begins with a guided conversation using a comprehensive questionnaire. This helps you paint the picture of your life - exploring body, mind, and soul.

A Safe Space to Explore

Counselling gives you an uninterrupted, unbiased space to share your thoughts and feelings, and to explore your struggles without judgment.

Collaborative Focus

We’ll decide together what areas of your life you want to focus on. It’s a dynamic process, everything is connected, and we follow the flow that feels most meaningful.

What sessions may look like

A Deep Conversation

Sometimes our sessions feel like a rich conversation where I help you connect the dots through listening and therapeutic insight.

Creative Tools & Interventions

Other times, I may use specific interventions — like forms, drawings, or other creative tools — especially online, to help unlock deeper insights.

Lifestyle Reflections

We’ll also explore lifestyle areas: sleep, nutrition, routines, connection, movement. Tuning into these can ease feelings of stress, overwhelm, or low mood.

The Real Work Begins

 Beyond the Session

Counselling works best when both of us show up and invest. You’ll be encouraged to reflect, take action, and explore resources between sessions.

You Lead, I Support

You're in the driver’s seat. My role is to guide, support, and walk alongside you — but the direction and depth of the work is always led by you.

Your Growth Journey

The most fruitful sessions are often supported by the consistent, everyday steps you take in your own life. This is where real transformation happens.
